Te Marae by James

Te Marae

A marae is a Maori meeting place which is used for very special times.  The tangata whenu
are the local people of the marae.  When manuhiri visit the marae, they have to be called on with a te wero.  If you are a friend, the other tribe will give you a koha.  If you are a foe they
will not welcome you,
